A new illustrated children's book "Friendship Flies the Sun" by Ann Mracek based on the ancient Egyptian legend of the Scarab Beetle comes to life in a wonderful presentation of dance, narration and puppets. With help of a magic genie Scarab Beetle dooms himself to fly the Sun and Moon around the Earth forever because he loves his friends, the belly dancer and the talking camel, more than self.
This charming story shows that when we give of ourselves in love and kindness for others, those selfless acts are the ones for which we will be remembered.
A fashion show of Middle Eastern costumes is also available. Accompanied by authentic music the educational narration describes the regional and ethnic origins of each costume. There are 14 beautiful costumes in this presentation, which can be booked as a separate event, or in conjunction with the Children's Theater presentation. Fashion Show Photographs
